Mobile Web or Mobile App?

As marketers we are all familiar with the 4Ps of the marketing mix: product, price, promotion and place. We know how crucial it is in determining a product or brand’s offer. However, with the introduction of technology this marketing mix has been shaken up a bit and it is no longer so clear cut. Things have become much more complicated.

When you introduce mobile to the marketing mix, there is a need to ask yourself what type of approach will be most beneficial to your brand and cause. Where should your focus be and whether you are intending to take an informative approach. Or, are you trying to enhance your relationship with your customers, engaging them in order create a deeper relationship? This would require both a mobile web and mobile app approach.

In order to reach customers today there is no question that mobile is an essential step. The bigger question is what type of mobile presence is best for your business?
